We are in the beginning of October, October 6th through October 12th. And the theme for October is fear or do not be afraid type things. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00In honor of Halloween.
SPEAKER_02Yes. Yes. Um, which make a lot of people afraid. I was talking to um our younger daughter recently, and we are talking about um past Halloween when she was little, and and I said, Your your dad said that you would just go trick-or-tring to a few houses and then come back because w we were over at a friend's house um trick-or-treating because you knew there's plenty of candy back there, like why bother going around asking? And she said, Well, that's true, but actually I was afraid of going to some of these houses and stuff. So yeah, I'll just go back and get candy where I don't have to be afraid.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. And there was plenty of candy.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. She also said she liked hanging out and listening to her dad and his friend John give out candy because they um We would ask kids questions. Yeah, it was like you had to pass a test before you got candy.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02They they made the questions easier depending on the the age.
SPEAKER_00Right.
SPEAKER_02Um, but there were there were some that surprisingly did not know answers to questions that you thought they should have known answers to.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_02And uh they got a little nervous that they weren't gonna get candy. And I don't know, probably some people just walked away, so I'm not doing that. Right.
SPEAKER_00But we would ask, what's the capital of Kentucky?
SPEAKER_02Which is where we live.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, we live in Kentucky.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00So the people K, you you would think you would know the capital of your state.
SPEAKER_02Yes.
SPEAKER_00But occasionally kids will say K. And we would give them that as it is.
SPEAKER_02I hope they were young people.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. So uh parents would be on the sidewalk, you know, from the house, not very far, but they they they thought it was kind of fun.
SPEAKER_02Something different. All right. Um I I will say that we kind of need, well, okay, it's it's hard. So this podcast, the only way we know if people are listening is if you download the podcast, which doesn't cost anything.
SPEAKER_00Right.
SPEAKER_02And um, I don't think it takes up like a bunch of space. Trevor Burrus, Jr.
SPEAKER_00Right. And we were told sometimes it's set up that if the same podcast, they may only have four downloaded at a time, as someone told us that at church. So if you download 41, 42, 43, 44, and then go to 45, supposedly 41 drops off.
SPEAKER_02Oh, gotcha.
SPEAKER_00I don't know if that's correct or not. I don't know if the podcast world.
SPEAKER_02You you can set up yes. Yes.
SPEAKER_00There's probably a setting you can do, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Um but something that so just for fun, on the the website that I use to put all the podcasts on that then sends it out to Spotify and YouTube and Apple and Amazon, um they had a little tab thing that said monetization. It's like, oh, all right, let's click on that. And then it had one that I I don't know, had something to do with the website and that you could make money from ads.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Which, you know, I mean, definitely not doing this to make money, but and so far we've been very successful. Um, but it's just kind of interesting. And and so I clicked on that. I was like, well, sure, like I don't care if there's an ad in it or not. And it said, you are not eligible. All right. We and this might be embarrassing. I don't know. I I don't know anybody else really that podcasts, and I don't talk podcasts with other podcasters, so I don't know how much downloads they have and stuff, but we have 415 right now, which I mean to us is like, oh wow, cool. Yeah, okay. To do this monetization thing, yeah, you have to have a thousand in a month.
SPEAKER_01Oh yeah, it seems unlikely.
SPEAKER_02So yeah, we've been doing this what eight, nine months, and uh we have 415.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah, we're we're into our tenth month right now.
SPEAKER_02So I was like, oh well, anyway. Um if you want to just help our egos um download a podcast here or there. Yeah. Um just just for the fun of it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Which has but listen for sure.
SPEAKER_02Yes, yeah. Which has nothing to do with fear.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_02Um, let's jump in. Yeah. October 6th. Uh this is similar to a story that we had last week. This is like the preface.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah. Because in the Bible, Deuteronomy is before Joshua. Before Joshua. So it's, you know. And Joshua has his own book, which is kind of cool.
SPEAKER_02And we we talked about Joshua being handed the baton from Moses and taking the people into the promised land.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02This is the very end of Deuteronomy. This is when Moses knows he's getting ready to die.
SPEAKER_00Right. And um and we don't know where he died or where he's buried.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_00I mean, we don't.
SPEAKER_02Okay. So I yeah, I didn't know that.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_00Um and last week it was kind of God appointing Joshua, right, to lead the people. This is Moses doing it. Right.
SPEAKER_02So Moses is talking to Joshua, kind of setting them up, saying, okay. And and he says to him, be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. And we never really talk about being strong and courageous. No, that was not a good thing.
SPEAKER_02It's just not something that's said. Except that St. Jude commercial you talked about.
SPEAKER_00But yeah, but it it really is that that and really, I don't know, I remember don't remember a sermon on being strong and courageous.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, maybe we should bring it back. Maybe it's something we should tell people.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. I might get it tattooed. Yeah, all right.
SPEAKER_02But it says the Moses says, the Lord your God goes with you. He will never leave you nor forsake you. Yeah. This is Moses.
SPEAKER_00And Joshua's been with Moses.
SPEAKER_02Yes.
SPEAKER_00So he's seen all the stuff that's happened. I don't know where he was in terms of Egypt and the plagues and all that stuff. Right. But the 40 years in the desert, Joshua's seen it all, right?
SPEAKER_02Right, right. And yeah, Moses has been through a lot with God.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02They were very close.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02He's the one whose face was radiant that glowed after spending a veil over it. Yeah. Um, after he spent time with God.
SPEAKER_00And so imagine being Joshua and being told, the Lord your God goes with you, seeing everything he had done that Moses and God had done, right?
SPEAKER_02And Moses, and we mentioned this last week. Moses is not getting to go to the promised land.
SPEAKER_00Right.
SPEAKER_02Because he messed up one time.
SPEAKER_00One time.
SPEAKER_02And God said, okay, because of that, you can't, you can't go.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. But I guess somehow great authority comes with great responsibility.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Right.
SPEAKER_02And Moses is not bitter.
SPEAKER_00No, he's not.
SPEAKER_02He's not like, well, God's going to be with you, but he's leaving me over here.
SPEAKER_00That's right. Hope you enjoy the promised land.
SPEAKER_02Mm-hmm. I mean, which he totally could have been like that. Sure.
SPEAKER_00But yeah. But again, he wasn't, right?
SPEAKER_02No, because he knows who God really is.
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_02And God is just and fair and righteous.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. And throughout the 40 years, there's at least at one time where Moses went to God and kind of got, you know, he was going to destroy the Israelites. Say, don't do it, don't do it. You know, people say you just brought him out to the desert to kill him, right? Don't do it. Stick, you know, I'll go down and manage this, essentially. And God said, okay, right, obviously. Right. So yeah. So Moses pushed back on God at times.
SPEAKER_02And so he's talking to Joshua. He says again, be strong and courageous. Then he says, the Lord himself goes before you and will be with you. He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid. Do not be discouraged.
SPEAKER_00And other times it's do not be afraid, do not be discouraged.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. We we all need that. I mean, it's it's in bold. And I put up at the top, memorize this.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. And it's also he goes before you. Yes. So before you get to that bad place, God is there, right? And he will be with you, right?
SPEAKER_02Yeah. And nowhere does it say, um, okay, so they're going to the promised land. You would think this is kind of like going into Disneyland, Disney World. Whichever. Yeah. Um, you you go in and it's like, oh, ah, magical, hoo-hoo, you know, this is the promised land. This land of milk and honey. This is what we've been waiting for. This is it. Ta-ta-da. Yeah. But no. No. It's it's not promise that, oh, everything's gonna be fine.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02You're not gonna have any problems.
SPEAKER_00And throughout their time, there were times they were afraid and times they were discouraged. So even here, the very before they get there, don't be afraid, don't be discouraged. God knows. You may be afraid, you may be discouraged.
SPEAKER_02Yes, yes. All right, October 7th is Deuteronomy, chapter 20, verses 1 through 4. Um that little ditty up at the top. No one's told me what that is yet. Says, God is with you when times seem the worst. Remember all the things God has brought you through in the past, and He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. So the beginning of this passage says, when you go to war, okay, not if when you go, so when bad things happen, there will be war. Don't be afraid because the Lord your God who brought you up out of Egypt will be with you. So you constant and this is constant through the Bible. You need to remember and remind yourself, remind others what God has done in the past.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02That's important to do. Remember, God did this.
SPEAKER_00And that's a good reason to spend time in the Old Testament.
SPEAKER_02Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_00Right? Very concrete messages.
SPEAKER_02That's all he did.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And if he did it then, he can do it now. And in many ways, he is doing it now.
SPEAKER_02Mm-hmm. Yep. Um, the end of this passage says, For the Lord your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you, to give you victory.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Okay. He's with you. He's fighting. He's giving you the victory.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. I mean, does it get any better?
SPEAKER_02No. Well, it's like, okay, God, we got this. Let's go.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02I'm right behind you. Yeah, I'm here.
SPEAKER_00You know. Let me know when it's time for me to come for the victory.
SPEAKER_02Because he's going first. Yeah. He's in front. Yeah. Right behind you. I got your back. Got your back, buddy.
SPEAKER_00I'm your God. You can count on me. Right. Yeah. But you know, that's what God wants from us.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_00That's what he wants, right? He's not afraid of the fight. He wants us to be there with him, right? And he will then go ahead, right?
SPEAKER_02Yep.
SPEAKER_00And we get the victory, right? Because I think one reason is God doesn't need the victory.
SPEAKER_02Right. That is true.
SPEAKER_00He doesn't need it, right? But he wants us to have it. He wants what's best for us.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. All right. October 8th is Psalm 57, 1 through 5. So again, probably written by David.
SPEAKER_00Most likely, yeah. He wrote a lot.
SPEAKER_02And he he went through a lot. He had people coming after him.
SPEAKER_00Right. And got himself in trouble.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. But he says, I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings until the disaster has passed. So sometimes maybe we we don't have to be out there fighting.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Maybe we just need to sit with God.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. God sends forth his love and faithfulness. Right? I mean, that's not a battle, right? But he has mercy, take refuge, right?
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00But I cry out. So do we cry out?
SPEAKER_02Um, I mean, sometimes when things are are are bad.
SPEAKER_00It's okay for us to cry out to God.
SPEAKER_02Yes, absolutely.
SPEAKER_00Right.
SPEAKER_02Absolutely. Yeah. So all right. That was short and sweet.
SPEAKER_00Good stuff though. I was gonna say mercy in French, that's thank you.
SPEAKER_02Oh merci.
SPEAKER_00It's an I, not a Y, but spelled essentially the same. And it's thank you. So he'll have mercy, right? And we should be thankful. Unrelated, but just kind of interesting how that plays out. Got another one for you, I haven't told you sometime, but I will sometime.
SPEAKER_02Huh?
SPEAKER_00Got another French English thing. Or French thing that's kind of interesting.
SPEAKER_02Okay. You don't want to say it now.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, we'll go on.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_00Oh, it's time if it comes back again, I'll say it in a more opportune time.
SPEAKER_02Okay. All right. We will all be on the edge of our seats waiting.
SPEAKER_00Friends in France might know. Or Quebec. Hello, Canada.
SPEAKER_02Yes. Yeah. Steve's family is from Canada, and we don't have any downloads in Canada.
SPEAKER_00Right.
SPEAKER_02We're a little upset about it.
SPEAKER_00We're a little bit. Three cousins who still live in Canada that I know of, and nothing.
SPEAKER_02But his parents, his older sister, older brother, all Canadians.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, all born in Canada.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Doesn't that make you a Canadian?
SPEAKER_00Well, I think they got American citizenship. They realized. And it is Lake Ontario.
SPEAKER_02That's right. By golly. Okay. October 9th and 10th are the same story. It's just the continuation.
SPEAKER_00Right, chapters 1 and 2. Not really.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. So we it's from Ezekiel, um, chapter 37, October 9th is verses 1 through 8.
SPEAKER_00This was one of my favorite Sunday school lessons.
SPEAKER_02Oh, this is one of my favorite stories.
SPEAKER_00Uh you probably not the same reason I liked it.
SPEAKER_02Oh, why did you like it?
SPEAKER_00Well, let's tell the story, then I'll explain what could happen.
SPEAKER_02Okay. And first of all when Steve says favorite Sunday school stories, that's him as a teacher, not him as in the class.
SPEAKER_00No, no.
SPEAKER_02No, because that didn't happen.
SPEAKER_00No, it did not happen.
SPEAKER_02All right. So um, yeah, I just think this is such a cool story. And um with all the I don't even know if it's a do not be afraid thing. I think it's just with all the bones and stuff.
SPEAKER_00Bones, skeletons, tendons, flesh. I think it's, you know.
SPEAKER_02It's very, it's very Octoberish.
SPEAKER_00Very Octoberish, yes.
SPEAKER_02Um so Ezekiel was a prophet.
SPEAKER_00Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_02And it says the hand of the Lord was on him and put him in the middle of a valley.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Okay, so first of all, wow.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah. Brought me out of the spirit of the Lord and sent me to the middle of a valley, so he's there.
SPEAKER_02And the valley was full of bones.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02So just, you know, like a graveyard.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. It's like he had his camera six feet under a graveyard, full of bones, right?
SPEAKER_02And it says the bones were very dry. So they've been there a while.
SPEAKER_00Been there for a while. Right. He led me back and forth amongst them.
SPEAKER_02And and then God says to him, Son of man, kind of fun. Can these bones live?
SPEAKER_00What's another reference to the son of man?
SPEAKER_02Jesus.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Um, and and Ezekiel says, I don't know, but you know.
SPEAKER_00Sovereign Lord, you alone know. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Why ask me a question that you know the answer to?
SPEAKER_02You know, clearly, he's like, I don't know.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And then God said, Prophesy. And Ezekiel was a prophet.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Prophesy to these bones.
SPEAKER_00To these bones, dry bones, right? Ezekiel knew what dry bones meant, right?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah. It says, dry bones, this is what he was supposed to say, dry bones, hear the word of the Lord. Um this is what the sovereign Lord says to these bones. I will make breath enter you and you will come to life. I will attach tendons to you, yeah, and make flesh come upon you, and cover you with skin.
SPEAKER_01Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_02I will put breath in you and you will come to life.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Then you will know that I am the Lord. And so will everybody else.
SPEAKER_00So will everybody else, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02And yeah. So anyway.
SPEAKER_00So he did it. I saw I prophesied as I was commanded.
SPEAKER_02Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_00And that's part of the message for us out of the story, right? Did exactly what God told him to do.
SPEAKER_02Yep. So, um, and and I and I love this. I love so many things in this story. That says there was a noise, a rattling sound.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And the bones came together.
SPEAKER_00Bone to bone.
SPEAKER_02And the tendons and flesh appeared, and the skin covered them. But there was no breath in them.
SPEAKER_00Where else was there no breath?
SPEAKER_02Um Adam?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah. I mean, there was. But here's Ezekiel in this field of dry bones, he now sees them coming together, right? No breath, though, right?
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00October 10th.
SPEAKER_02Because that's the rest of the story.
SPEAKER_00The rest of the story.
SPEAKER_02October 10th. And it says, then he said to me.
SPEAKER_00And he is God. Yes. Said to Ezekiel.
SPEAKER_02Prophesy to the breath. Say to it, this is what the sovereign Lord says. Come, breath, from the four winds, and breathe into these slain that they may live.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02So I did it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And breath entered them. They came to life and stood up on their feet.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. A vast army. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Isn't this great?
SPEAKER_02Oh my goodness.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02So good.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. But then I said, I will bring you back to Israel. So probably the Israelites were not in Israel this time, right? I'll put my spirit in you and you'll live. I will settle in your land. I have done it. Right? I have done it. So yeah, this is great. I mean, you know, this would be a great story to share on Halloween. You know? And then you could go out as get a skeletal costume. You can get them, right? Right? Oh, yeah. Oh, you're a skeleton. No, I'm Ezekiel 37, verse 7. Right. Or actually, I must be verse 9 or 10, because I now have breath in these dry bones. So yeah, I think it's it's a great story. Um, but again, you know, doesn't say this is this is a story, right?
SPEAKER_02So then God explains why you did all this. You know, when you're reading through, it's like, okay, why? Ezekiel is there by himself, experiencing all this.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02God purposely put him here and told him what to do. Okay, why?
SPEAKER_00Why, yeah.
SPEAKER_02And then God explains it to him.
SPEAKER_00And a prophecy, a prophet then was would give God's message to the people. They would look to them and do all so, you know, he would go back and share this message.
SPEAKER_02Probably the same as a prophet now.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, exactly. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Um, so the he said the bones were the Israelites, and that the Israelites were saying, We're all dried up, we have no hope, there's nothing for us. And God says, I'm gonna bring them up, I'm gonna save them, I'm gonna.
SPEAKER_00So this whole open your graves, they were maybe spiritually dead.
SPEAKER_02Right. So this whole thing was done to show. So Ezekiel could go back to them and say, Okay, look, let me tell you.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02You don't have to worry. God is with you. God is yeah, God's gotcha.
SPEAKER_00Then you'll know that I, the Lord, have spoken and I have done it. Declares the Lord.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_00That says, declares. I have done it. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00It's a good story.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah, really is.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. So in Sunday school, we talk about this.
SPEAKER_02Oh, yes, yes.
SPEAKER_00I would tell my fourth and fifth graders, not fourth and fifth grade Sunday school for a very long time. Um after you've eaten your Thanksgiving dinner, you can pray. You can do what Ezekiel did, and maybe that turkey comes back to life. And then you have a turkey in your house. Would that not be a Thanksgiving to remember? What happened here? I prayed like Ezekiel. I promise you, you will not get in trouble.
SPEAKER_02The bones came back together.
SPEAKER_00There was tendons, flesh. So yeah. So we got turkey again tomorrow. And feathers, yes, yes. And a turkey running around your house.
SPEAKER_02So yeah, very good. All right, October 11th is a psalm again, 56, 1 through 11. Um, and and again, probably written by David. And he says, When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. So a reminder is it's not our goal to never be afraid.
SPEAKER_00Correct.
SPEAKER_02Because it's gonna happen, and and there's no shame in that.
SPEAKER_00Right.
SPEAKER_02Even though people, you know, my sister made me feel ashamed for being afraid when I shouldn't be, but still. So when I am afraid, I put my trust in you. And twice in this passage, right here, and then at the end, it says, In God whose word I praise, in God I trust and am not afraid, what can mere mortals do to me? So he says it there, and then he talks about things that are happening. Um, that wicked people are coming against him. They have schemes to ruin him, um, they twist his words.
SPEAKER_00Um, twist, scheme, conspire, wickedness. I mean.
SPEAKER_02And then I like how he says, Record my misery, list my teasers on your scroll. Are they not in your record? You you got them, right?
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And then he says that passage again. In God whose word I praise, in the Lord in whose whose word I praise, in God I trust and am not afraid. What can man do to me?
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Yeah. That's why David's a hero, and maybe a Mount Rushmore guy. Yes. Right?
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00But in God I trust, you know.
SPEAKER_02All right.
SPEAKER_00But again, I will not be afraid. It doesn't mean in God I trust and nothing bad will happen to me.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_00It doesn't say that. Nowhere does it say that. It's not part of the Bible, right? But I will not be afraid.
SPEAKER_02Correct. October 12th is a New Testament. We had a lot of Old Testament passages recently.
SPEAKER_00We have.
SPEAKER_02New Testament, Luke 12, 4 through 7. Um, and this is Jesus talking, and he says, Do not be afraid of those who killed the body, and after that can do no more. Okay, so first of all, kind of afraid of that. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Well, there is some rational, even in the Old Testament, when it says, Do not be afraid. Typically, those are things that should make you afraid.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_00It's like, okay, don't be It's kind of like we had a bat in our house, and you're really just I can't relax. There's a bat in the house.
SPEAKER_02I got much better about it.
SPEAKER_00Well, we had a lot of bats.
SPEAKER_02Um says, fear him who, after your body has been killed, has authority to throw you into hell. And again, that fear is the respect.
SPEAKER_00Yes, this is respect. Yes.
SPEAKER_02Um it's like, oh, okay. Um I I I get that. I get that. I know what he's saying. Um and then the passage that is familiar to a lot of people, they probably don't know where it is. I wouldn't have been able to tell you where it was. But it's he talks about sparrows. Um, are not five sparrows sold for two pennies. So I'm they're not worth very much at all. Says yet, not one of them is forgotten by God.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. If you think about how much hair you lose, I mean our daughter Katie was like, look at all this hair that's coming out. God keeps up with that.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Or me. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Well, I mean, yours just keep subtracting and does he know which ones are gone?
SPEAKER_00Like, do they have a schedule? Oh, let's see, October 13th, uh, it's gonna be hair's number 4,016, 17, and 18.
SPEAKER_02Um, so he he says, don't be afraid. You're worth more than sparrows.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Than mini sparrows.
SPEAKER_00So that makes me feel good. Just not a sparrow. But yeah, it but again, it's the same message, right? And clearly, when all these messages relate to fear, God understands we are afraid. There's many things that make us afraid.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And he's telling us, and he's not saying we're foolish for being afraid. He said you don't need to be afraid because of this. Right. Remember this, right? And this diminishes your fear.
SPEAKER_02Exactly.
SPEAKER_00You know. And this one, you know, if you don't have fear, you know, be afraid of the one that can send you to hell. You know, it goes back to what we talked at different times about, you know, you're going to spend eternity someplace. Right? So you believe Jesus, Son of God, or you don't believe Son of God. But no, it looks like, based on scripture, God's word, you will spend eternity somewhere. We encourage you to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior. The eternal option is much better.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Very good.
SPEAKER_00And the earthly one isn't bad either, really. I mean, I say them now.
SPEAKER_02Oh, right.
SPEAKER_00It's still good.
SPEAKER_02Uh yeah. Yeah. I I've said multiple times, even if it wasn't heaven or hell, to have God with me in this life is what has gotten me through this life. And I, yeah, I do I would not want to do life without Him.
SPEAKER_00Right. Amen to that.
SPEAKER_02Not at all. All right. I think that's it for this week.
SPEAKER_00All right. See y'all next week.
SPEAKER_02Thanks for listening to this week's Flip Devotional the podcast. Don't forget to subscribe, download, share with your friends and family, and we will see you next week.
